About Me
My name is Nicholas Whitten Yount. I am a North Carolina native who lives in the Greater Charlotte Area, Statesville to be specific. I attended Statesville High School and graduated as Valedictorian in 2009. I am an Eagle Scout from Boy Scout Troop 609 in the Satesville area. I achieved the rank of Eagle in June 2007 and acquired one bronze eagle palm, as well. After high school, I attended the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill for two years, spending most of that time studying philosophy with some business and religious studies as well. After two years at the University I withdrew and am currently a Commercial Real Estate Broker with Langtree Real Estate Group out of Mooresville, North Carolina.
Aside from my new Real Estate Career, I continue self-study in the areas of philosophy and theology, and hope to use a part of this website as well as future publications as a way of expressing the ideas that I have developed over the last several years. Although I only studied philosophy at the University for two years, I have been drawn to complex lines of thought since I was in middle school. From that time forward, I have spent much time trying to discover what all Philosophers and Theologian's alike have attempted to discover, the Truth. Not an easy thing to discern, but a quest that I believe is the of the utmost to humanity both as a method of unlocking our past, understanding our present, and building the future that best suits us.
Also this webpage serves as the primary hub for all my writing. Though currently I have multiple projects in the works and hope that in the next few months I will have one completed and ready for publication. Most likely I will use self-publication via electronic publishing to start with a series of short stories and over time progress and develop some of my ideas more and more until they are ready for full production both electronically and in print.
